Congratulations to the Obama Family

I would love to interveiw these girls.
What is happening to them is beyond their wildest dreams.
I mean seriously what kid hasn't dreamt of living in the WHITE HOUSE!!!
I also think that they seem to be so proud of their daddy!
Isn't this so cool?!! She is taking pictures of todays event!
It's so surreal she wants to take it all in.
I wonder if she has a clue how many photos of her and her family will be taken over the next 4 years lol..I love it!!
I wonder what they're saying here. "We did it Baby!"

I just think this picture is to cool.

"We did it Baby! We made it to the White House!" and she says "That's my man!"
I think they seem so PROUD!!

One focus on today (which is NOT a big deal to me) was what will Michelle wear.
I thought it was pretty neat to hear she wore a non famous name and instead chose someone that wasn't in the lime light.
However! I do beleive she chose a great outfit for today. Looks like it was as warm as she could get with still looking classy.
Good thinkin!
I have never found election time to be of much interest to me.
I mean I know it should be, I should exercise my right to vote, but I always just figured I didn't know what all that political stuff meant so I wouldn't know who to vote for really.

I never seemed to form my own opinion. I took what other people were saying about the past candidates and formed my opinion from what I'd "heard".

But this year it was different. I studied each candidate, as well as the VP's, I watched the debates, I read up on them online..and I VOTED!

I did not find it to be an easy vote either! I was torn right up till the time I filled out my ballot!
I think both McCain and Obama had something good and bad to bring to the table.

I am honored to be a part of this day in history. To know that *I* voted to help bring change to this great country is remarkable. My kids and Grandkids and so forth will be studying this day for years and years to come.

I am excited to watch the Obama girls grow, I am excited for this family! They just give off such a glow of "WE DID IT!!"

I am going to reach out and grab hope and say, "I hope Obama does good by us and is the change America needs." May the Lord guide him and keep him and his family safe. It's going to be a tough road for PRESIDENT Obama.

There are several out there who are anti-Obama. And that's ok. We have the right to our own opinions, that's the great thing about living in the USA, we have the right to our opinion. But the majority of America has spoken. There is no turning back, nothing can be done. So we may as well make the most of it. I say give him a chance to prove himself. Reform your opinion once he's had time to make a difference. Maybe you'll be surprised. Maybe he will serve you well.

I am epecially proud to be an American today. I loved seeing how other American's came together as one. I was also especially happy to see how much prayer was said and the mention of God. May he never be removed from our Country.

I am attaching some photos I found doing a google search. I got them from

Handy Dandy Little Tip!-Removing Fat off a roast

Kitchen tip: Before putting your crockpot leftovers into the refrigerator, cut a piece of wax paper that is large enough to cover the entire surface of the food in the storage container you’re using. Lay the wax paper over the top of the food, face down, and then put the lid on as you normally would. As the food cools in the refrigerator, the fat will begin to solidify. With the wax paper in place, the top side of the hardened fat will adhere to the wax paper.
After the food has completely cooled, you can remove the lid, peel off the wax paper, and stuck to the paper will be the layer of fat you’re wishing to discard. Magic!
Then you can pat yourself on the back, knowing that this little tip not only save you time in the kitchen, but it also helped you give a healthier batch of leftovers to your family.

JUST A BIKER

This is dedicated to all who ride and especially to the great people we have met along the way.
When riding season is apon us, I hope you all ride safe!!!

JUST A BIKER
saw you hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line. But you didn't see me put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday.
I saw you pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk. But you didn't see me playing Santa at the local Mall.
I saw you change your mind about going into the restaurant when you saw my bike parked out front. But you didn't see me attending a meeting to raise more money for the hurricane relief. I saw you roll up your window and shake your head when I rode by. But you didn't see me riding behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window.
I saw you frown at me when I smiled at your children. But you didn't see me, when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless.
I saw you stare at my long hair. But you didn't see me and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love.I saw you roll your eyes at ourLeather jackets and gloves. But you didn't see me and my brothers donate our old ones to those that had none.
I saw you look in fright at my tattoos. But you didn't see me cry as my children where born or have their name written over and in my heart.
I saw you change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere. But you didn't see me going home to be with my family. I saw you, complain about howloud and noisy our bikes can be. But you didn't see me when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane.I saw you yelling at your kids in the car. But you didn't see me pat my child's hands knowing she was safe behind me. I saw you reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road. But you didn't see me squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn. I saw you race down the road in the rain. But you didn't see me get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date. I saw you run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time. But you didn't see me trying to turn right. I saw you cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in. But you didn't see me leave the road. I saw you, waiting impatiently for my friends to pass. But you didn't see me. I wasn't there.I saw you go home to your family. But you didn't see me. Because I died that day you cut me off.
I was just a biker. A person with friends and a family. But you didn't see me.

EVEN IF YOU DON'T LIKE US, RESPECT OUR RIGHTS TO RIDE WHAT WE CHOOSE AND TAKE A FEW EXTRA SECONDS TO BE SURE WE ARE NOT IN 'YOUR' WAY

What's the best thing about Christmas Break??!!

SLEDDING of course!!

We got alot of snow but it didn't stick around too long during Christmas break!

Long enough that the boys got to try out their new sleds/saucers.

Every time they came in from sledding they were so funny!

They were laughing so hard and both trying to tell me stories of "what happen" at the same time lol..

Carter of course couldn't wait for that hot cocoa but I really think it was all about the marshmallows!!

Boy that was a fast Christmas!!

Boy oh boy, Christmas sure came and went!

Seems like no sooner did we get the tree up and the house decorated and it was time to take it all down again!!!!

I was wrapping gifts all the way up to Christmas day, and I swear I wrapped gifts everyday for the month of December.

Overall tho, we had a great "Holiday Season"

We kicked of the season by decorating our tree. Boy what a work out that was!!

When we got it set up over half the lights on the PRELITE tree did not light and a good handfull of the branches were broken...BUT WE MADE DO!

Dan went and bought new lights for the tree..what a difference that was. We've had clear lights on our tree for around 6 years. Well he bought colored lights! That was a big change..next year it'll be back to the clear lights!
Here is a picture of the boys after we got the gaudy gappy tree finished..lol...(ole well they loved it!) This photo was also sent in our Christmas cards

Caleb hanging ornaments on the tree

We even brought the garden nome in and got him to help!!

I don't think Carter realized his hat was sticking straight up..he kept saying "ho ho ho" but I personally think he looked more like an elf!

For Christmas Eve we went to my sister Samantha's. It was alot of fun and all the cousins LOVED being together. It don't much happen that we are able to get them all together at once.

Emmy with her gifts

Braydon and Gavin. My little peanuts! These two have more energy then a whole CAN of coffee!! But boys will be boys

Whatchu got?? Gavin checking out Braydons goods...

Christmas morning Dan and Caleb woke to a 4am alarm clock...it was off to give the pigs their Christmas Breakfast.....Back home and showered by 8am. And would you beleive we had to wake up Carter to tell him Santa had came!! That never happens lol....

While the kid were checking out what Santa brought them we tossed some cinnamon rolls in the oven and oj in glasses...YUM!!

However...the frosting was a little on the thin side, someone and we won't mention that it was the mom of the house, didn't realize the frosting was sitting on top of the stove and well alot of it got melted and oozed out on the stove top.....but hey it happens...ummm....right??? It does don't it???
The boys with their stockings (Thank You Barbee and Charlie)

Carter got Guitar Hero for his playstation and it was so funny, because in this picture he is saying "Aww Guitar Hero Caleb BURN!!!"....not realizing Caleb got one too lol...I'm guessing this sibling rivalry never ends??? .....Not even on Christmas!

After gifts were open Dan and I decided it was best we take a Christmas nap....so while we napped the kids played with all their new stuff...kinda but the daily bickering to bay....for a little bit anyways lol....

Later that afternoon we went to dinner with Dan's side of the family, at Grandma and Grandpa's House. We weren't rushed to get there quickly and were werent rushed to leave to get to the next house we needed to visit this year.

It was nice to have a slower paced holiday for once!!

Grandma and Grandpa

Carter got safety equipment from Grandma and Grandpa to go with his new tony hawk skate board...oye.....I see broken bones in the future..I'm hoping we'll get by with just bruises :)

Caleb received dominoes from Grandma and Grandpa. A good gift since Caleb loves playing dominos with them when he stays over there.

Later that evening Grammy and Poppy came over and brought the boys gifts. Caleb got a phone card and Carter got a new piece to his villiage. It moves and lights up!

So in a nutshell that was our Christmas Day.

We enjoyed it, we had lots of fun, we all got lots of great gifts and we all pigged out...what could make Christmas any better then that?!!

I hope yours was just as great!!!
